Aims and scope
- Intelligent Anesthesia is an open access, peer-reviewed journal sponsored and owned by the International Association for Intelligent Anesthesia and designated to publish high-quality research and application in the field of anaesthesia-industrial crossover concerning the internet technology, artificial intelligence (AI), data science, medical information, and intelligent devices in the clinical medicine, and public health.
- Article types include
- Research Article: Original work reporting new findings in medicine or algorithm development. Manuscripts should follow sound clinical research methodology and, where relevant, include an assessment of usefulness and reliability in real-world practice. Recommended length is about 6,000 words with a structured abstract of up to 300 words covering Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
- Editorial: Commentary written by the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, editorial board members, or invited experts and policy makers on topics spanning science and policy.
- Review: Comprehensive surveys of recent progress in a field, combining historical context, international advances, and future outlook. Full text about 5,000–6,000 words with a descriptive abstract of about 200–300 words.
- Perspective & Comments: Contributions presenting personal views, working hypotheses, or discussion of contested issues. Length about 1,500–2,000 words, abstract about 250 words, and no more than 10 references.
- Research Highlight: Brief summaries and critical commentary on a recent research achievement, emphasizing its significance, especially contributions of Chinese scientists.
- Guideline & Standard: Official recommendations issued by professional bodies on clinical practice, healthcare delivery, or data management in intelligent medicine. Submissions that adhere to recognized standards are viewed more favorably.
- Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications: Analyses of the ethical and societal questions raised by intelligent medicine. An abstract, keywords, and references are required.
- Case Report: Clinical case descriptions limited to 1,000 words with no abstract or keywords, no more than 5 references, and at most one table or figure. A statement of patient consent is mandatory if patient information is included.
- Historical Moment: Accounts of notable people, events, or stories in the history of scientific achievement and application.
- Letter: Correspondence to the Editors, preferably commenting on articles previously published in this journal. Limited to 500 words with no abstract or keywords, no more than 5 references, and at most one table or figure. A statement of patient consent is mandatory if patient information is included.
